Kenya

The Great Rift Valley passes through its middle, resulting in high mountains on either side, and volcanoes and pristine lakes in the valley. Kenya has a tropical climate. It is hot and humid at the coast, temperate inland and very dry in the north and northeast parts of the country. There is however a lot of rain between March and May, and moderate rain in October and November. The temperature remains high throughout these months. The country receives a great deal of sunshine all the year round and summer clothes are worn throughout the year. However, it is usually cool at night and early in the morning.

The long rain season occurs from April to June. The short rain season occurs from October to December. The rainfall is sometimes heavy and often falls in the afternoons and evenings. The hottest period is from February to March and coldest in July to August.
The annual animal migration - especially migration of the wildebeest - occurs between June and September with millions of animals taking part. Overall Kenya has an amazing variety of scenery and climate.

Tanzania

Tanzania is mountainous in the northeast, where Mount Kilimanjaro,[7] Africa's highest peak, is situated. To the north and west are the Great Lakes of Lake Victoria (Africa's largest lake) and Lake Tanganyika (Africa's deepest lake, known for its unique species of fish). Central Tanzania comprises a large plateau, with plains and arable land. The eastern shore is hot and humid, with the island of Zanzibar lying just offshore. Tanzania has a tropical type of climate. In the highlands, temperatures range between 10˚C and 20˚C during cold and hot seasons respectively. The rest of the country has temperatures never falling lower than 20˚C. The hottest period spreads between November and February (25˚C - 31˚C) while the coldest period occurs between May and August (15˚C- 20˚C).

Two rainfall regimes exist over Tanzania. One is unimodal (December - April) and the other is bimodal (October -December and March - May). The former is experienced in southern, south-west, central and western parts of the country, and the later is found to the north and northern coast.

In the bimodal regime the March - May rains are referred to as the long rains or Masika, whereas the October - December rains are generally known as short rains or Vuli.

Zambia

Zambia is a landlocked country in southern Africa, with a tropical climate and consists mostly of high plateau, with some hills and mountains, dissected by river valleys. Zambia is drained by two major river basins: the Zambezi basin in the south covering about three-quarters of the country; and the Congo basin in the north covering about one-quarter of the country. A very small area in the north-east forms part of the internal drainage basin of Lake Rukwa in Tanzania. The west of Zambia is very flat with broad plains, the most notable being the Barotse Floodplain on the Zambezi, which floods from December to June, lagging behind the annual rainy season (typically November to April). The flood dominates the natural environment.

Botswana

Most of Botswana comprises dry semi-desert. The most arid and sparsely vegetated part in the south-west is known as the Kalahari desert. The Okavango and Chobe Rivers flow into northern Botswana. It is predominantly flat, tending toward gently rolling tableland. Botswana is dominated by the Kalahari Desert, which covers up to 70% of its land surface. The Okavango Delta, the world's largest inland delta, is in the northwest. The Makgadikgadi Pan, a large salt pan, lies in the north. The Limpopo River Basin, the major landform of all of southern Africa, lies partly in Botswana, in the southeast of the country.

Botswana has diverse areas of wildlife habitat. In addition to the delta and desert areas, there are grasslands and savannas, the latter where Blue Wildebeest, many antelopes, and other mammals and birds are found. Northern Botswana has one of the few remaining large populations of the endangered African Wild Dog.

Namibia

he Namibian landscape consists generally of five geographical areas, each with characteristic abiotic conditions and vegetation with some variation within and overlap between them: the Central Plateau, the Namib Desert, the Escarpment, the Bushveld, and the Kalahari Desert. Although the climate is generally extremely dry, there are a few exceptions. The cold, north-flowing Benguela current of the Atlantic Ocean accounts for some of the low precipitation. Namibia is situated along the Atlantic coast north-west of South Africa and west of Botswana. It is the most arid country in southern Africa, and is dominated by two stunning desert landscapes: the Kalahari to the east and the Namib along the coast. Many hardy species like the desert elephant, brown hyaena, Hartmann's mountain zebra, gemsbok (a species of oryx), springbok and ostrich survive here.

Ruins

These are the old ruins of humans. Old buildings made of stone, and some of wood, are still left, most have become more like a rocky mound that's hollow inside. The wood has crumbled away and most of it is buried deep in the sand. The terrain is mostly sand, but towards the south it's mostly scrub and grassland.

Grazing Lands

This is a big stretch of grassland. It's the best place to find prey, even in the dry season. There are several Acacia trees scattering this big flat terrain. To the side there are big tall groups of Elephant grass for the elephants to hide in and play around and even catch some Z's in.

Foraging Rock

This is a hill with several large boulders meshed together with several large trees to the right. This is a favorite spot for Baboons, Cheetahs, and Leopards. Most commonly Baboons. The rocks are placed to help any creature view over the long plains and rocky terrains.

Crocodile Gorge

The gorge is called the Crocodile Gorge, because at the bottom of the gorge is small part of the Zambesi River. One slip or a panicking run and you're dead for sure. There is an opening in the middle that is very steep but not as steep as the actual cliff like wall everywhere else. On the other side of the river however, it is much bigger and old trees are attached to it's sides and small rocks line the side of the wall, a favorite spot for the crocodiles.

Tambe Forest

The Tambe Forest isn't very thick, it's trees are very loosely packed and it is hard to get lost in this forest. Zebras love to hang on the outskirts of the forest and mess around or eat the leaves.

Gentle Gorge

This gorge isn't much of a gorge. This is a deep crater like spot in the ground with several trees in it and a stream flowing threw and into a tiny pool of water where the wildlife love to drink. No crocodiles infest these waters unless you go upstream. This is a very popular spot for the lions and leopards, which can become a big problem at times. The gorge has gentle slopes going in on one side and very steep slopes on the other to were the animal coming down has to be skilled enough and have enough grip on their hooves/paws to climb down, or face a terrible death of falling down and hitting the rocks at the bottom, or maybe even a tree or two.
